Oil and fat products worth $8.557 billion were exported from Ukraine in 2021. According to the Ukroliyaprom industry association, this is 19.6% more than a year earlier.

30.9% of the exported last year products of Ukrainian agriculture and food were accounted for fat-and-oil products. Its share in the total volume of state exports is 12.6%.

The structure of exports of oil and fat products is as follows: 

• sunflower oil – 74.6%; 

• sunflower meal – 14.9%; 

• soybean oil – 3.4%;

• soybean meal – 3%; 

• rapeseed oil – 2.6%; 

• other - 1.5%

Taking into account the fall of 15.2% in exports of sunflower oil, in value terms it added about 20% ($1.068 billion). The key importers of domestic sunflower oil in 2021 were the countries of the European Union, which received 32% of the total volume. 

They are followed by India with a share of 30.5%, as well as China - with 15.3%.

Among the main recipients of oilseeds and products of their processing from Ukraine can be identified such countries as India, Turkey and France. They were supplied with 223.9 thousand, 137.1 thousand and 97 thousand tons, respectively.
