Since the beginning of the 2021/2022 marketing year, which started on July 1, grain and leguminous crops have been exported from Ukraine by 7.8 million tons or 28% more than last year. These are the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of January 21, 2022.
In total, since the beginning of the 2021/22 marketing year, 36.084 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, as well as products of their processing, have been shipped from Ukraine to foreign markets.
According to the information of the State Customs Service, which is given in the report of the Ministry, the largest growth was shown by the export of basic grain crops.
Thus, as of January 21, 16.574 million tons of wheat were shipped, which is 3.727 million tons more than a year earlier. Export supplies of barley amounted to 5.391 million tons (+1.503). A significant increase was shown by the volume of rye shipments: as of the reporting date, exports reached 148.9 thousand tons (+ 147.2). A little more than 13.7 million tons of corn were exported (+2,661).
The total export of Ukrainian flour amounted to 62.1 thousand tons, which is 20.7 thousand tons less than last season.
